Exporting kink

May 21, 2009

Anyone catch this article from The New York Times about a family-owned Pakistani kink and fetish gear company? It seems like an unlikely venture, but makes a kind of weird sense, given how repressed Pakistani society is, generally speaking. Given that, my favorite part of the article were the bits about the employees and customs officials not really understanding what a lot of the items (like puppy masks and sleep sacks) produced by the company are, exactly.

Anyway, hope all of you Northeasterns are enjoying the lovely weather these days. I wish I could take better advantage of it, but I am busy and haven’t had much time for kink these days, let alone frisbee or kayaking or whatever bright young things do in the spring. The boy is coming over this weekend, so perhaps I’ll have a new experience to share with you all soon.
